A worn-out bathtub waste and overflow assembly is one of those problems that quietly gets worse over time. Water slowly makes its way where it shouldn't, and by the time most homeowners notice something is off, the subfloor or surrounding structure has already taken a hit. That's exactly the kind of situation we walked into on this one.

The old assembly was corroded and past the point of patching. The hardware around the drain connection had deteriorated badly - you can see the extent of the rust and age on the cast iron tub and surrounding components. No amount of caulk or quick fixes was going to solve this. It needed to come out and be replaced the right way.

We swapped in a new PVC waste and overflow assembly, getting a clean, secure connection at the drain that will actually hold up. The new fitting is seated properly and sealed tight - no more slow drip working its way into the structure below. It's the kind of repair that doesn't look flashy, but it protects the home from real damage down the line.

This is the type of work that falls under our drain installation and repair services. It's not always a full sewer line or major re-pipe - sometimes it's a single failing component that, left alone, causes far bigger and more expensive problems. We'd rather catch it early and fix it right than have a homeowner dealing with rotted subfloor six months later.

Honest assessments and solid workmanship - that's what we bring to every job, no matter how big or small. When a drain assembly is done, it's done. We're not going to hand you a band-aid when you need a real fix.
